A middle-grade graphic novel about standing up for yourself

 Wizards needs magic. And they will stop at nothing to get it.

 

In a world where magic is scarce but vital, Birdy always does as she’s told. She lives in a cave alone because her parents told her to. It’s for her own good: wizards would kill for a girl who can make magic. When shape-shifting magician Rumfo appears to reunite Birdy with her lost parents, she leaves the cave with him (who wouldn’t—he’s a cool wizard!) But with only a few sources of magic left, wizards from all over the wasteland fight over Birdy. Amid the chaos, Birdy looks to her friend Rumfo for help. Unfortunately, he’s only in it for himself.
